Monday 18th January to Sunday 24th January 2010

Thursday 21st January 2010

Been a very busy week, I have been in work every day. Not been terribly good on diet at all. Have been watching tv diet programmes and getting in the mood for healthier eating and exercise. I have told Neil and J and R that we ARE all going for a long walk at the weekend. R is hopefully going to join the Young Archaeologists club at Liverpool Museum on Saturday.

Neil is still job hunting.
J is in the middle of exams.

I did not go and get weighed on Monday cos was in work but I will be going next Monday and face the fact that I will have probably gained some weight. SAme old story eh? But........only I can make the effort and turn that around - starting with being more positive (not just about food and exercise but about everything). I am going to make an effort to enjoy each and every day and smile more!!!!!!

Still have not got round to ringing GP about scan results, will do that tomorrow when I get chance in work.

I have done a session on the Wii Fit the other night for over half an hour which was great, mainly I do the free step. I think as soon as the weather brightens up I shall start walking to work too.
Well it's almost half past 10 in the evening and I am v tired so am going to read for a little bit (am reading a chick lit book called The Pi**ed-Off Parents Club by Mink Elliot - haha very funny!!!! Well, is funny so far!

Took some pics from when I went out last weekend for a meal and a drink (ok, on night out I might have had JUST a little bit too much alcohol. It's not good when the people you work with say (the following work day) "Hey Cathy - you provided the entertainment, you were really funny".......................Errrrmmmmm...........ok..............I don't want to know!

So, work tomorow (as per usual) and I am/should be going dancing ion the evening, to my usual line dance class. Saturday is a trip to Liverpool. I shall have a few hours on my own whilst R is in her Young Archaeologists Club. And of course Sunday we shall go for that long walk (just has to be a minimum of at least 2 hours walk).

 Saturday 23rd January

Took R to the Liverpool museum today, she joined the Young Archaeologists Club there. J came along too and J and I went round Liverpool while R did her 2 hours at the museum with a bunch of other kids, they meet every month and will be doing field trips and looking at stuff in the museum. Today they had a talk from a paleontologist I think that's how you spell it)?
J and I went for breakfast to our fave city cafe, a small but quite trendy cafe.It almost has a bistro feel to it. J and I found it simply ages ago when we went to the drum studio in Liverpool once. We always go to this cafe now - it's great!

J and I wandered back to the museum to collect R and Neil came and got us (he'd dropped us off at the museum earlier. Nice day all in all. Tomorrow we are planning on going to the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead then for some sort of walk (I so need the exercise as have not been eating so well lately). Am not terribly looking forward to getting weighed on Monday morning really - but still, I will go.

J took his girlfriend J to Nandos Restuarant in Liverpool tonight (they caught the train there and back). He said they had a nice meal there.
Nando's in Liverpool

The food is VERY spicy there him and J said (they have been there before, it is one of their fave places).

 Sunday 24th January

Did we go for our long walk?? NO. Was too cold and too wet out there.

I have booked the hotel that R and I are going to be staying in in Brighton for 2 nights

Here's the hotel.
Here it is again. Looks ok. Has a restuarant and a cafe. We are about 10 minutes walk away from Neils hotel (ours looks nicer than his!) Though Neil will be attending the World Horror Convention so we may not get to see him till he picks us up on the Saturday to go to Devon. I don't mind. R and I are going to have a nice girly relaxing time (I promised her NO shopping!). We can so whatever we want or nothing at all and relax in the hotel since we have a 2 week holiday straight after the hotel stay.

Neils hotel is bigger than ours and currently undergoing renovation (ooops)! But that is where the convention is being held
Lovely eh!
Cos Neil has a schedule for the 3 days then it is likely that R and I might pop along to his hotel and have a nose at his room! We won't be able to go into the convention as we don't have tickets which is a bit of a pity cos Neils friend Steve will be there and another friend (via internet) from USA who I have spoken to on the phone when I stayed in Rachels in Kentucky USA. Maybe we can get to meet a few people in the hotel lounge or something?? I know they will all be busy networkjing at the event and managing tables etc (their book tables - since Neils friend Steve is a publisher. Am so looking forward to going.

Slightly nicer pic of Neils hotelThis looks much better!

Might see if R and I can find the Royal Pavillion at Brighton and visit there. It looks fantastic
