Sunday 11th April
YEAH I'm back!!!! We went to Brighton on the 25th March
then on the 27th March we went onto Devon for 2 weeks.
Firstly the UMI Hotel that R and I stayed in in Brighton was ok. Our room
was small but ok,
The weather was ok sort of, wind, rain and sunshine. We met Neil at his
hotel and we all wandered round the shops. I met Debbie Kuhn at Neil's
hotel, she's an aurthor from the US (Kentucky, Louiville), she was there
for the World Horror Concention that was taking place in Neil's hotel
in Brighton.
Then on the Saturday we met Neil anwe all (me, Neil and R) went to Brixham
Devon which was about a 6 hour drive.
The weather the first week in Devon was mixed with a lot of rain the the
evenings unfortunately. We did not do half as much walking as we intended.
I took R to the camp pool. The 2nd week in Devon was much sunnier and
on Saturday morning when we had to set off we did not want to come home!
On the way home on Saturday we did a small detour and called in Weston-Super-Mare
(I did look out for you Janey!) for an hour or so to stretch our legs.
All in all we had a nice holiday. We ate all the wrong things (yummy cream
teas)! I did hardly any cooking in the caravan! Rather than saying it
all, here are some highlights in pictures! (Will get the pictures up tomorrow!)
Actually here's a few pics for now!
R and I in Brighton!
The UMI hotel R and I stayed at in Brighton
Part of the beach at Brighton with the pier in the background.
Our caravan at Brixham holiday park
The alk to Brixham, where we walked as often as we could, it is a lovely
15 minute walk from the caravan park to Brixham harbour
This is Eva Duckie (who comes from New Zealand, she was sent to me by
Chris (Diet Coke Rocks). Eva (named by R) came with us on the holiday.
There was one day we took her down into Brixham. I put her on some steps
byt the sea so I could take her picture close to the water. Well, a big
wave came and carried her away. R was screaming, I was shouting "OMG
Duckie......help, help save her". Neil was shouting "!Grab her,
grab her"
What a total PANIC. Then by sheer luck a big wave carried her back and
we were able to grab her out of the water. Had the wave not have done
this then she would have floated out to sea.
Where we popped Eva to take her photo.
The little duckie was soaking wet! Panic over, we got her back, am so
glad as both R and I would have been very upset to have lost her.
Eva Duckie at the Brixham Marina, dried off in the unshine!
A rare pic of Neil and me in the caravan. One of our nicest pictures for
some time I think.
R and I in the harbour at Brisham with Eva Duckie.
A seagull gladly posed for a photo for me as you can see here! (Brixham
harbour)
Neil and R having fun in Dartmouth. It has been raining but the sun came
out. We had lunch in a lovely cafe called the Fat Lemon Cafe
Me in Totnes.
One of the main streets in Totnes, quite hilly!
I jave tons more pictures! I shall put some more up tomorrow.
We took 855 in all (won't put all of them up though!)

MONDAY 12th APRIL 2010
Well.............ermmmm.........ok I went to Slimming
World this morning and guess what?
YEP
I gained 5 and a half pounds for my just over 2 week holiday.
Which I suppose is not too bad is it? NAH, not too bad.
Ooooooooooooooook.
I am motivated after the Slimming World meeting this morning
and raring to go and gt back on track. My blood sugars have been soooooooooooo
bad this last few weeks and I need to get my diet under control. I have
been super de duper good today, stuck to the plan.
Urghghghghghghgh work tomorrow! |
TUesday 13th April
Work was fine. Put a bit of a red dye on parts of my hair
tonight. Why? Dunno really, cos I wanted to!!!! Really I want to dye the
whole lot red but don't have the nerve. Several tyears ago I would have
done it no problem.
Been good on diet plan today apart from eating a bit of rock from our
holiday. I love mint rock. So I need to look how many syns it is so that
I can see that I am within plan. What did I at today?
Ermmmm
Breakfast - 2 weetabix and skim milk
Lunch - Jacket potato and baked beans, a banana and an apple
Tea - Stir fry steak with onions and mushrooms and watercress>
Eve - A small stick of rock.
Wanna get back to using the treadmill (how often do I
say this?). Wanna get slim for the summer as I am NOT going to be wearing
size 18 clothes (as currently have to).
YEah yeah yeah same old thing !!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to focus on getting
healthier and smiling more and being less stressed. I seem to get stressed
so easily these days which makes me have palpitations and feel crappy.
I got white chocolate.
Yep a white chocolate face mask so I am going to put that
on tomorrow night before dancing (as I just remembered I have dancing
tomorrow night). Anyway, face mask, and relax. I bought a massage cushion
(yes) on holiday, it's ok but the buzzing vibration does get on your nerves
after a while!!!!!
I have one in burgandy. It has batteries in the middle of it and when
you put any pressure on the pillow/cushion, it vibrates. You can lean
on it for areas of your back, rest your feet on it etc.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I have a pair of black trousers that WERE very loose on
me, put it htis way, I could take them on and off without unfastening
them! OMG they are tight on me now. This is SO no fair. And how come I
can gain 5 and a half pounds in 2 weeks and it might take me a month to
lose it??? It better hadn't.
HAve done ok on diet plan today I must say. Trouble is, cos I tried the
trousers on and it made me cross, it makes me want to stuff my face. Luckily
we do not have goodies in (ie donuts, chocolate etc). I am going to have
a chocolate options drink (4o cals) though. I must keep saying to myself
that I CAN lose this weight. Don't want the next several years to go by
with me saying the same old things and never losing the weight.

I am going to Liverpool with 2 friends from work and we are going to be
tourists for the day!!! We are going to go on the yellow duck (the one
that takes yu round the Liverpool sights and then goes into the water
at the Albert Duck and we are going (hopefully if we can get tickets)

Had the most FABULOUS day out in Liverpool with 2 friends
(N and T). We went over on the ferry, then we took pics by the Liver building
and then by the Lambanana's. Then we walked to the Albert Dock and booked
ourselves on the Magica Mystery Tour but first went in the Beatles Museum
which was great. We had a coffee there and then caught the Magical Mystery
Tour bus which took us all over the place. We had seats on the front of
the bus which was good for a better view. We got out at a few places like
George Harrisons home and the house where Paul McCartney lived and took
pics. We went by Strawberry Field and drove along Penny Lane. It was a
lovely hot sunny day.
After the tour we legged it back (from Matthew Street) to the Albert DOck
again and we got tickets to go on the yellow duck (the bus that goes all
around Liverpool and then into the water at the Albert DOck). We went
into HaHa Bar on the dock and had half a lager which was nice, in the
sunshine. We went on the yellow duck tour then came back to the Albert
Dock and had tea in the HaHa Bar and Grill on the Albert Dock. After tea
we wandered over to the Big Eye (or rather what is a Big Wheel) in the
dock and had a ride on that (it was very high!) We were the only ones
on it at that time. By then it was dark so we went to the town centre
and caught our busses home. PHEW what a long day. I totally enjoyed it.
I will put some pics up tomorrow.
At
the end of the day I am knackered!
